Gibson County Administrator of Elections

The Gibson County Election Commission

will accept resumes for administrator of elections through April 16, 2021

Candidates must be a resident of Gibson County and a registered voter. Management experience and college degree are preferred. Successful candidate must pass a comprehensive state certification exam covering election laws and procedures in Tennessee.

Job responsibilities (not a comprehensive list):

 develop and present training to election workers; public speaking to large crowds

 recruit workers countywide for elections

 interpret and apply numerous maps relating to districts, wards for various elected offices

 work longer days and weekends when needed

 Manage office and appointed workers

 Present annual budget request to the county commission and manage budget and accounts payable for the office

 Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

 Register voters and administer elections and early voting while following all state laws
